Our Commitment Location Routes Management Ltd is committed to promoting and safeguarding the mental health and wellbeing of our team, freelancers, contractors, scouts, crew members (Green Room), and all individuals we engage with.

We recognise that a supportive and inclusive working environment is essential for health, happiness, and productivity. As employers, we have a duty of care to do all we reasonably can to support everyone’s health, safety, and mental wellbeing.

This policy outlines our commitment to fostering a culture that prioritises mental health and provides guidance on implementation. It applies to all individuals engaged by or working with Location Routes Management Ltd, including staff, freelancers, scouts, contractors, kit suppliers, traffic teams, Green Room members, and training/event participants.

  • Location Routes Management Ltd oversees implementation and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Addressing Mental Health Concerns If you believe you are experiencing work-related mental health issues, or are aware of a situation that may affect someone’s wellbeing, discuss it with your line manager, scout lead, or Michelle Murchan (Mental Health First Aider) in the first instance.

If that is not appropriate, raise it with another senior colleague.

Once known, we will discuss with you what steps can be taken, which may include:

  • Review of workload, hours, or responsibilities (with temporary adjustments where reasonable).
  • Referral to external support or medical advice (with your consent).
  • Investigation if bullying/harassment is involved (per our Dignity at Work Policy).

All matters will be handled confidentially, shared only on a need-to-know basis, with consent where possible.

Key Terms

  • Stress: The adverse reaction to excessive pressure or demands. It is not an illness but, if prolonged, can lead to mental or physical health issues.
  • Working under pressure: Normal and sometimes motivating; excessive pressure becomes stress.
  • Mental health: Our emotional, psychological, and social wellbeing – we all move along a spectrum from good to poor.
  • Poor mental health: When thinking, feeling or reacting becomes difficult or overwhelming.

Confidentiality Mental health information is highly sensitive. All individuals are responsible for maintaining confidentiality. Unauthorised disclosure may be treated as misconduct.

Information may be shared only when necessary (e.g., to make reasonable adjustments, address safety concerns, or investigate misconduct), and wherever possible with your consent.

Review This policy is reviewed annually or after significant changes/incidents. Feedback is welcomed to ensure it remains effective.
